Kayak fishing in central Louisiana

There are many reasons to kayak fish. A few include: it's very affordable, it provides access to areas big boats cannot get to, kayaks are easier to transport, they provide a healthy alternative, kayaks are quiet and environmentally friendly.  But perhaps the best reason is that they're fun - there's nothing like hooking into a big red or big bass and getting taken for a "Cajun Sleigh Ride".

Is there a better area for freshwater kayak fishing than central Louisiana? We think not. From Lake Concordia west to Toledo Bend, from Chicot Lake north to Caney Lake, there are dozens of waters containing some of the state's largest bass, white perch and bream right here in Cenla. More and more folks in the Cenla area are finding out for themselves and joining the kayak fishing revolution!

That's why we've started Cenla Kayak Anglers.  We'll have meetings and outings to share and learn more about paddling, fishing from a canoe or kayak, conservation and aquatic resources.  We hope you'll join us. Bookmark this website and check back routinely!
